❉ One of the many missing episodes from the first season of ‘The Avengers’ has been located, and will be shown in public next month for the first time in 55 years.
SciFiBulletin have revealed that a missing episode of ‘The Avengers’ has been found.
‘Tunnel of Fear’ was written by John Kruse – who would go on to contribute many well regarded episodes to ‘The Saint’ and other 1960s series – and starred Ian Hendry as Dr David Keel and Patrick Macnee as John Steed. It was broadcast in August 1961 but believed lost.
According to a post at the Kaleidoscope Facebook page, an unplayed perfect print of the episode has been located in a private collection, and will form part of the Missing Believed Wiped event on November 12 in Birmingham more details

The episode was recently recreated as part of Big Finish’s ‘The Lost Episodes’ by John Dorney.
