A stunning 2K restoration from the original BBC CRI 16mm prints, available uncut in the UK for the very first time.

Written by BAFTA-nominee Barry Hines (Kes) and directed by Emmy-winner Mick Jackson (The Bodyguard). Threads first aired on BBC Two in 1984 at the height of Cold War nuclear paranoia. Showing all consequences of a nuclear winter, and how the threads that hold society together crumble as two nuclear warheads are detonated over Sheffield. This film is still hugely relevant today.
