Seven New Novels Based on the Classic Sci-Fi series will be released throughout 2025 and 2026.
Series One concludes with ‘The Last One’ by Gary Russell — available now!

Following the success of the first wave of The Tomorrow People novels, Chinbeard Books and Oak Tree Books are pleased to announce a second series of officially licensed Tomorrow People novels. Based on Roger Price’s classic science fiction series and its later iterations, these stories expand the world of the Tomorrow People.
Series Two will launch in September 2025 and continue on until September 2026.
But first, there’s one last mission to complete.
THE LAST ONE by Gary Russell — Available Now
When the Tomorrow People celebrate Adam’s birthday on their Pacific island, none of them suspect that the toxic roots of his family tree are about to be unearthed.
Can Adam, Megabyte and Ami stop one dotty old lady unravelling everything they have achieved?
And how will this bring other Tomorrow People, ones they didn’t even know existed (like John, Andrew and Hsui Tai), into a battle for Ami’s mind, Megabyte’s heart and Adam’s very soul?
This Tomorrow People novella from Chinbeard and Oak Tree Books is the final book of Series One, with Series Two already having been announced.
The Last One is an emotional, high-stakes finale to Series One, written by long-time Tomorrow People fan and creative Gary Russell (Doctor Who, The Sarah-Jane Adventures, The Chronicles of Dorian Gray). With classic characters, dark humour and big emotional swings, it’s a powerful bridge to the future of the series.

SERIES TWO LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 2025
Series Two of the official Tomorrow People novels will launch in September 2025 and run bi-monthly into 2026. Each book is a brand-new adventure packed with familiar faces and continues the legacy of The Tomorrow People.
Range editor, Paul Simpson (BBC Books) says:
“Over the coming months, we will learn the secret origin of the Tomorrow People, and see them travel around our own planet, as well as into outer space – and through time. Each of the homo superior from the long-running 1970’s Thames series will appear, with the stories providing insights into some of their deepest secrets.”
Commissioning editor, Barnaby Eaton-Jones is also on hand:
“Like the first batch of six books, the seven novellas that comprise our second series are all standalone tales. But, unlike them, they’re all set within the continuity of the 1970s series. It seems to be what fans like best!”
Gary Russell jaunts back to pen the first and last of the second series, with returning authors Rebecca Levene & David Derbyshire, Iain McLaughlin, and Kenton Hall (whilst Colin Brake and George Ivanoff make their Tomorrow People debuts).
