Robert Schroeder’s new album is called Relaxesizer and naturally offers the ideal basis for extended relaxation. The album title is obvious: relaxation music played with a synthesizer, just
Relaxesizer.
The Klaus Schulze protégé has been familiar with highly relaxing compositions since 1979 and can still come up with imaginative and extraordinary spherical electronic music even with his 48th solo album. On this album, Robert has brought together and applied the essence, the sum, of his musical experience and development. With Relaxesizer, he has clearly undergone a musical transformation, a maturing of his development. The result is an album well worth listening to.
An animated trailer has been produced for the album’s first track, titled Somewhere In Space, which can be seen here:
As to how he came by the title Relaxesizer, Robert explains:
“It is not a result of my own creation. In an American pawn shop, I saw a vintage piece of sports equipment for relaxation. This had the name Relaxesizer. It was the ideal title for an album with the kind of electronic music I make – Relaxation through synthesizer music – Relaxesizer.”
The nine tracks of the almost hour-long CD are very varied and range between 60 and 120 bpm. New sound effects, soulful harmonies and melodies as well as exciting and relaxing arrangements deliver impressive and fresh atmospheres.
