Who Exactly Are Tin Gun? Devils Or Angels?

❉ Meet the mystery electro band as they preview their new single and prepare to unveil their secret identities!

Formed in 2018, the enigmatic and mysterious electronic collective Tin Gun is the brainchild of three established musicians from the UK. The trio is more about “…just making a lot of noise and have fun doing it!” instead, they’re all about taking the listening audience on a musical journey of awareness.  The main theme of the band is “taking a stand” which is expressed through their music and lyrics while providing an uplifting energetic, hard-driving vibe that appeals to the masses, and which is bound to get you moving at the same time.  They have produced a variety of edgy alternative electronic music songs that each tells a story about the daily conflicts which people face, whether it is social, political or personal.

Tin Gun’s forthcoming release of their third single Devils and Angels is a combination of light with a hint of a darker undertone within their hooks and melodies. The thought-provoking lyrics further assist to drive home the deeper messages within the track.  It’s about a reflective awareness of how people can hide their true selves by projecting a certain outward appearance.  That all is fine, but when they are in fact suppressing a deep struggle within, it becomes darker and more sinister.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding who Tin Gun actually are.  The band has been somewhat shrouded in mystery since they came onto the synth scene in early 2019, but their identities will soon be revealed to coincide with the release of Devils and Angels.  You’ll need to tune into their You Tube Channel at 6pm on the single’s release date, Friday 26 March, to find out more!  What we do know is that Peter Steer (Tenek, Agency-V, Sinestar) is at the helm which is confirmation enough that a vast degree of accomplishment is in the mix.

Tin Gun were formed in 2019 and their debut single, We Are Not Your Enemy, was released in October of that year and met with great enthusiasm from fans of the genre.  The follow up single Social Revelation was released in May 2020 and was also met with critical acclaim.  The track was also remixed by Richard Silverthorn (Mesh).

The band have so far secured numerous exposures via radio plays on Synth City on Phoenix FM, The Electro Wave Show on Artfaktor Radio, Bluetown Electronica and various music blogs, but we still don’t know who they are!  Despite this, their Facebook page has nearly 1K followers, such is the band’s success proving that they really are standing up on their music alone.  When asked how they would categorise their music, Tin Gun are similarly vague, stating instead that they would sit comfortably in the following genres; edgy electro glam rock, alternative, dance, synth, and retro 80s.

Devils and Angels has been in the pipeline for some eighteen months, largely in part to the onset of COVID-19 restrictions.  We were treated to a teaser on the band’s page twelve months ago and have been waiting patiently ever since.  Another reason for the delay in release is due to band members having other musical boots to fill.  The Devils and Angels package features remixes by Psykelektric and is mastered by Tim Dorney (Republica) at Flightpath IV Studio. The beautiful cover artwork is the work of the very talented graphic designer/illustrator Simon Brett.
