The British Horror Website Horrified is launching a film festival to celebrate British horror, to be held at Hebden Bridge Picture House in West Yorkshire on Saturday 11th June.

The festival will be a day-long celebration of all things British horror with special guests, Q&As and screenings, including The Innocents (1961) and Theatre Of Blood (1973).

Horrified will be posting more details of guests, accommodation and how the day itself will run shortly. There will also be an announcement soon about a very special event at the festival.

Tickets are available via the perk ‘Festival of Death’ on the BURIED Indiegogo page: Horrified Film Festival Tickets Available via Crowdfunder

‘Buried’

Along with the festival, Horrified have just launched a crowdfunder to help support the making of their debut film, BURIED, a co-production between Horrified and film makers Johnny Panic. It’s a folk horror film, set in Yorkshire, with a modern take on old folk stories.

Made by a team of experienced filmmakers, BURIED is a new British horror film that follows in that unsettling folk horror tradition, with bucolic landscapes, ancient myths, and the past haunting the future to create a powerful and unique atmosphere. We want to scare the socks off you!

Influences for BURIED include M.R James, Hammer Horror, The Wicker Man (of course), The Woman in Black and The Innocents
