‘The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner’ Talking Pictures channel premiere

❉  Talking Pictures to screen classic 1962 adaptation of Alan Sillitoe’s novel, starring Tom Courtenay.

In 1962’s ‘The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner’, an adaptation of Alan Sillitoe’s novel,  Tom Courtenay plays a teenager sent to Borstal run by Michael Redgrave, where he discovers his talent for cross-country running.

Directed by Tony Richardson, the film won the BAFTA film award, Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles (Tom Courtenay).
