‘Self-Isolation’ Premiere Date Announced: 7 May, 2020

❉ A new web series, starring Louise Jameson, launches this week!

The first episode of Self-Isolation, the brand new web mini-series from Third Time Lucky Productions, will be released on Thursday 7th May, with subsequent episodes released weekly.

Set during the current Coronavirus pandemic, the series is made up of three 3-minute dramas, following Jamie (Ashleigh Carter), a young Welsh man in his mid-twenties and his relationships with his partner Ben (Devante Fleming), grandmother Polly (Louise Jameson), and his friends Zoe and Ben (Laura Jayne Hunt and Oliver Martin respectively).

The series, starring Louise Jameson, known for many roles on series like Doctor Who, Bergerac, and more recently Silent Witness, is a micro-drama that explores the impact of Coronavirus on friends, family, and partners, and the way in which we’re all responding to a world in isolation – with fear, with hope, with plans and sharing, and with determination to make the most of time and each other once the virus is over.

The series was filmed in ways compliant with the UK government’s advice on social distance and isolation, showing conversations through web media like Skype, both to keep actors safe and to reflect the reality of the isolating world.

The first episode, entitled Distance, was written by the show’s creator, Andrew Creak, and gives a sneak peak into Jamie’s love life while in lockdown. Part two, Cuppa, written by Simone Greenwood, sees Jamie in discussion with his grandmother, who he worries isn’t taking the lockdown as seriously as she should. And the series finale, Loss, written by Lucas Eisele, shows how raw our emotions can be while we’re kept away from our loved ones, and how friendship is important to keeping your life in balance.

Louise Jameson plays Polly, Jamie’s loving grandmother, who dislikes social distancing, and longs to be able to have a cuppa with her grandson.

❉ ‘Self-Isolation – Distance’ will be released on Third Time Lucky’s YouTube channel at 20:10 on Thursday, just after the nation claps for its carers and key workers.
