❉ This week: A podcast made by Suede fans for Suede fans.
We’re big fans of podcasts here at We Are Cult, and we’re always looking for more shows to subscribe to. So if you’re looking for ear candy, we’re here to help!
This week: Suede fan Samantha Hand tells us all about The Insatiable Ones, a podcast made by Suede fans for Suede fans.
What’s your podcast about?
The Insatiable Ones podcast is about British band Suede. Made by passionate Suede fans for Suede fans.
If you had to describe your show in 10 words or less, what would you say?
Passionate, nerdy, special, beautiful and unique.
Which episode would you recommend for a first-time listener? Do you have a favourite episode?
We’ve only done 2 episodes so far but I’d recommend listening to our second podcast with Suede biographer David Barnett.
What inspired you to create this podcast?
It was created with Nikolaj Andersen purely through our passion and love of Suede
Which guests have you had on your podcast so far?
Brian Cannon from Microdot and Suede biographer and minor indie celebrity David Barnett.
Who would be your dream guest?
Our dream guest would be Brett Anderson.
Which equipment do you use for your podcast set-up?
I’m not very technically savvy so I use my android phone to record the interviews.
What would you say is the best length of time for a podcast episode?
I’d say 30 minutes although our second podcast surpasses that by an hour. We could talk to David Barnett for hours about his experiences when he worked for Suede!
Which podcasts (other than yours) would you recommend we listen to?
I’d recommend Bernard Butler’s Boogaloo radio show which can be find here: https://mixcloud.com/boogalooradio/
Where is your podcast available to listen to?
What is the future of podcasting as a creative medium?
I think the future for podcast is bright and I think people enjoy to take some time out of this fast time we are living in and just sit back and listen to people who talk about things that matter to them.
