What’s your podcast about?

Debby: The 10 years I spent in an Old Testament, polygamous, doomsday cult.

If you had to describe your show in 10 words or less, what would you say?

Debby: Everyday cult life explained in detail.

Which episode would you recommend for a first-time listener? Do you have a favourite episode?

Debby: Episode #13, “Up Your Hoo-Ha” for both.

Laura: Episode #14, “Forbidden Foods” for both.

What inspired you to create this podcast?

Debby: I spent 10 years in hell and am loving that I can have some fun with it now.

Laura: Having a podcast was on my bucket list .

Which guests have you had on your podcast so far?

Debby: My son. He was born in the cult.

Who would be your dream guest?

Debby and Laura: Leah Remini!

Which equipment do you use for your podcast set-up?

Laura: Mac & GarageBand, Audio-Technica ATR2100 mic (just 1)

What would you say is the best length of time for a podcast episode?

Debby and Laura: between 30 and 60 minutes.

Debby and Laura: iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, Overcast, Castbox (pretty much all free apps)

What is the future of podcasting as a creative medium?

Laura: The possibilities are endless and just about anyone can start one. It’s becoming the new radio. The AARP magazine just had an article explaining podcasts to senior citizens and how/where they can listen to them.
