Heathers 30th Anniversary DVD & Blu-ray

❉ How very timely! A 30th Anniversary release of the cult classic high school satire, with a 4K restoration featuring a host of extras, new artwork and a collector’s booklet.

Arrow Video is excited to announce its gorgeous 30th Anniversary 4K Restoration of the 80s cult classic HEATHERS (1988) starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, coming to special edition DVD and Blu-ray from 10th September.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary, Arrow Video will be hosting a special Heathers event at the BFI where Director Michael Lehmann and one of the original mean girls, Lisanne Falk, will attend a screening and Q&A where you can see one of the ultimate cult films of the 80s like never before.

HEATHERS is directed by Michael Lehmann (American Horror Story, Hudson Hawk), written by Daniel Waters (Batman Returns, Hudson Hawk), and starring Winona Ryder (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Girl, Interrupted, Stranger Things, Little Women), Christian Slater (True Romance, Mr. Robot, Pump Up the Volume, The Name of the Rose), Shannen Doherty (Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Mallrats, Little House on the Prairie), Lisanne Falk (Say Anything…, Less Than Zero, Night on Earth) and Kim Walker(The Outsiders, Matlock, Highway to Heaven, Say Anything…).

In order to get out of the snobby clique that’s destroying her good-girl reputation, intelligent teen Veronica – played by Winona Ryder in one of her most memorable roles – teams up with a dark sociopath, J.D. (a career-best Christian Slater) in a plot to kill the cool kids in what became one of the 1980s’ defining cult classics.

Veronica is part of the most popular clique at her high school, but she disapproves of the other girls’ vindictive behaviour. When Veronica and her new boyfriend, J.D. confront clique leader Heather Chandler (Kim Walker) and accidentally poison her (as you do), they make it look like a suicide. Soon Veronica realizes that J.D.’s intentionally killing students he doesn’t like. As she races to stop J.D., she also clashes with the Heathers’ new leader, Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty) with chaotic results.
