It’s now been an incredible five decades since Catweazle first arrested the boredom of Sunday afternoons to become a television legend! On Wednesday 3rd June, Catweazle (1970), starring Geoffrey Bayldon, returns to Talking Pictures TV – many will remember the endearing wizard who accidentally transports himself to the 20th Century and is amazed by the magical world he finds himself in, which includes devices such as the ‘telling bone’ (telephone) and elec-trickery (electricity).
