❉ An update on the web-based sitcom series about three well-seasoned Doctor Who/SF fans living in Cardiff.
Two weeks ago, we reported about the web sitcom ‘Anoraks’, a comedy web series that takes a warm and affectionate look at the weird world of fandom, which had just launched its crowd-funding campaign over on Kickstarter.
With just over a week left for ‘Anoraks’ to reach their goal, director Ed Sinclair has shared an update, urging supporters to give ‘Anoraks’ their backing, to help them raise their goal amount and make the rest of the series:
We are lucky to find ourselves in the unique position of not only having access to the best newcomer talent from across the UK, but also as many guest stars and cameos as possible into our episodes. So far we’ve announced two hilarious cameos – by Terry Molloy and Anneke Wills – and there is the promise of much more to come! Through the Kickstarter campaign, it is our ambition to produce a half-hour season finale in early
2017, that has been written for an extremely special guest star, known to not only science fiction fans, but to the mainstream public as well.
By supporting the ‘Anoraks’ crowd-funding campaign, backers will have access to a wide and interesting range of unique rewards, including autographs and other goodies such as a specially commissioned signed poster by former Target Novel cover artist, the legendary Chris Achilleos – who has himself, been a great supporter.
